The Down and Dirty Details

This projected started with our crew tearing off the old shingles and hauling them away. Then the old roof decking was inspected for any damage. After no damage was found, a new synthetic vapor barrier was installed over the sheathing. We use Titanium paper for our vapor barrier. After the vapor barrier was properly installed and the old gutters removed, we installed the new shingles on the roof.

Materials Used

The shingles used in this home improvement project are CertainTeed Landmark and the color is Moiré Black. All new flashings and boots were installed in any areas that require them. After completion of the shingles, new black 6” gutters were installed around the home. All old material and waste was cleaned up and hauled away. This project took 3 days for the roof and one additional day for the gutters. The homeowner loved the new roof and the change in color of the gutters.
